I spent two exotic days in the middle of the Arabian Desert in Oman, at this ultra luxe property called Dunes by Al Nahda. Just over an hour's drive from Muscat - the capital of Oman, this place takes glamping to just another level. Nestled on top of a dune and surrounded by sand dunes and the desert, this place is breathtakingly beautiful and i can't wait to go back next season. Open from September to April every year, this place is like a dream with luxuriously appointed tents, gourmet dining, spa and tons of activities to suit the adrenalin junkie in you. And if you wish to just relax, unwind, listen to the winds whistle, and perhaps take a walk in the desert, you can do that too coz this place caters to everyone. Whatever you choose, make it a point to end your day with some sundowners as you watch the most beautiful sunset in the desert.

As a travel mom, I was super impressed with this property coz my lil’ traveler could roam around freely…cycling, riding on the camel, playing a bit of golf, flying a kite and going on tuk-tuk rides with the extremely friendly staff. Not much to fault here…except I wish this place was opened throughout the year,  which of course is impossible with the unsustainable summer temperatures of the desert.

As you must have guessed my heart is not full with just 2 days here though for some of you that might just be perfect. This is a great short holiday, or, part of a longer trip if you want to experience the beauty of the desert from an uber luxurious place.
